Are the boxes of water lined with plastic?
Hi Margaret, There is a thin plastic coating on the outside of the box acts as a moisture barrier. This helps maintain the durability of our packaging and prevents leaks, similar to a juice box. Our cartons are still less harmful to the planet than plastic water bottles and aluminum cans. Our box is 100% recyclable and made of 92% plant-based materials, which is the best you can find in any water aisle, and we’re always looking for ways to improve our packaging. Boxed Water Is Better is best stored at 70 degree Fahrenheit and safe to store between 40-120 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend storing Boxed Water in a cool and shaded place when the temperature is warm.
