Please introduce yourself and give us a quick rundown of what you do:
I’m a wellness entrepreneur, founder of De La Heart, and an advocate for holistic living. Inspired by my Colombian heritage and a deep connection to ancestral rituals, I found the bridge between timeless healing practices & modern wellness to create a unique, approachable philosophy for health and beauty. My work revolves around empowering individuals to feel their best through simple, natural self-care routines. From skincare and body care essentials to wellness rituals, I focus on helping others achieve balance and glow in both mind and body.
What role does hydration play in your personal wellness routine?
Hydration is the foundation of my skincare philosophy, both in my personal routine and the practices I advocate for. Proper hydration is essential for maintaining healthy, radiant skin and forms the basis for achieving that natural glow we all desire. I begin each morning with 32 oz of room temp water to gently wake up my system and support digestion. Proper hydration reflects in the skin, so I prioritize drinking water consistently throughout the day and use De La Heart’s hydrating skincare products to lock in moisture. Staying hydrated supports my energy levels, enhances my focus, and helps me feel balanced, whether I’m working or practicing self-care rituals.
Why is choosing sustainable options, like Boxed Water, important to you?
While I don’t lead a perfectly sustainable life, I know that every small effort adds up. Avoiding microplastics is a big part of this for me. Microplastics are everywhere—in the water we drink, the food we eat, and even the air we breathe. By opting for sustainable packaging, I can minimize my exposure and contribute to reducing plastic pollution. It’s about making intentional choices that align with
my values, even in small ways, to support a healthier future for myself and my children.
What steps have you taken to make your wellness practice or lifestyle more
sustainable?
I’m a less-is-more kind of girl, both in my wellness practice and lifestyle, focusing
on quality over quantity. For me, it’s about curating the best of the best—whether it’s skincare, self-care tools, or wellness routines—and committing to mindful consumption. For me, sustainability isn’t about being perfect—it’s about intentional, thoughtful choices that align with my values and have a lasting positive impact.
What's one wellness trend or practice you think more people should embrace?
Lymphatic drainage massage and detoxification! It’s a simple yet transformative ritual that helps reduce fluid retention, improve circulation, and boost the body’s natural detoxification process. Lymphatic drainage not only supports physical health by flushing out toxins, but it also enhances your skin’s natural glow and promotes a sense of lightness and well-being. Paired with natural detox practices like nourishing your body with clean foods and staying hydrated, it’s an incredibly effective way to feel and look your best. It’s self-care that WORKS!
What is something you're currently reading, watching, or listening to that inspires you?
Just finished reading Brian Weiss's Many Lives, Many Masters for the fourth time—it’s one of those books that continues to inspire me every time I pick it up. I’m also a huge fan of podcasts and always have something playing! Some of my favorites are Huberman Lab for science-backed wellness tips, How I Built This for entrepreneurial inspiration, and both Joe Rogan and Lex Fridman for their thought-provoking conversations on a wide range of topics. These all fuel my curiosity and keep me motivated to keep learning and growing.
