Looking back at Earth Day this year, it felt like a high-point for all of us at Boxed Water.
Since the beginning, we’ve produced a planet-friendly alternative to plastic water bottles. We’ve also donated proceeds from each purchase to environmental causes through our partnership with 1% For The Planet. And with our social media campaign (#BetterPlanet), we’ve planted 630,000+ trees with our customers and fans.
So, it comes as no surprise that we activated in a big way for Earth Day.
We mobilized our team across the country to celebrate our favorite holiday. We helped plant new trees in urban environments, like in Queens, New York with Trees New York, and Grand Rapids, Michigan, through the Mayor’s Greening Initiative. We also sponsored The Morton Arboretum’s Champion of Trees race in Chicago, Illinois, and helped clean up Belle Isle in Detroit, Michigan.
Other companies, like Nickelodeon Animation and TOMS Shoes, worked with us to make a statement that sustainability matters. Plus, if you missed our launch of a special edition Boxed Water carton design with our friends at Free People, you can catch up on the news here.

Actually, there is an easy way you can help our our planet throughout the spring and summer.
We’ve partnered with the National Forest Foundation to restore thousands of acres of forests that suffer from wildfires or deforestation. By replanting trees, it helps improve air quality, wildlife habitats and benefits our water resources.
