As part of our commitment to the planet, we’re planting a million trees in U.S. forests over five years. Learn how you can help us reach our goal.
Boxed Water is a member of 1% for the Planet in partnership with the National Forest Foundation. Together, we’re working to protect the planet by planting a million trees within five years. This year alone, we’re planting trees in the Sierra National Forest, Stanislaus National Forest, and Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. With a few easy steps, you can help us keep going.
Since 2015, we’ve been partnering with the National Forest Foundation to plant trees in National Forests through our 1% For the Planet membership. The U.S. Forest Service estimates that there are 700,000 acres that are degraded and in need of reforestation – that’s roughly 150 million trees.
Trees that are planted help stabilize the watersheds that provide millions of Americans with clean water. Planting help restores forest cover and offers vital wildlife habitat for threatened and endangered species. Trees sequester carbon dioxide, fighting the effects of our warming climate.
WE PLANT 2 TREES.
Take a picture, spread the word. Make an Instagram post featuring Boxed Water using the #ReTree hashtag and we’ll plant two trees on your behalf.
The National Forest Foundation annually selects areas based on the greatest need due to factors like wildfires and other natural threats. 88% of reforestation needs are due to wildfires. In the past 3 years, Boxed Water has planted trees in the Deschutes National Forest, the Custer-Gallatin National Forest, the Sierra National Forest, the Stanislaus National Forest, and the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
